International Game Technology (IGT) was selected after a competitive bidding process to improve Loto-Québec's Video Lottery Terminals (VLT) network.
The arrangement, mediated by IGT Canada Solutions ULC, calls for the progressive introduction of PeakDual 27 VLTs throughout Quebec, in line with Loto-Québec's ongoing VLT replacement cycle.
Loto-Québec's EVP and COO of Gaming Establishments, Stéphane Fraser, commented, "For decades, Loto-Québec has relied on IGT to provide quality hardware and game content to our gaming establishments network." "We are delighted to announce this new agreement."
The PeakDual 27 VLT features two 27-inch high-definition monitors and a 13.3-inch digital player panel. These terminals will contain IGT's entire game library, including both established and new releases.
In an unrelated milestone, IGT was awarded the highest MSCI ESG grade of AAA, acknowledging the company's commitment to sustainability. The evaluation encompassed multiple categories, focused on governance, product safety, carbon emissions, and labour management.
In addition, IGT has renewed its contract with the Virginia Lottery for three years, until October 2033. This two-decade extension involves modernising the Virginia Lottery's central retail system with IGT's most advanced capabilities.
The introduction of Retailer Pro S2 and the modernization of the communications network are among the enhancements, with an October 2025 go-live date scheduled.
