The football team has signed a three-year deal that will make Spreadex its main partner for the 2022–2023 season. The Spreadex emblem will be shown on the front of the team's home and away jerseys until the summer of 2025.

"We are all delighted to welcome Spreadex as our new principal partner and look forward to building our relationship with them over the next three years," stated SAFC COO Steve Davison.

"We're going to have a very exciting campaign as we make a comeback to the Championship, and this partnership will also support the City of Sunderland's communities through a number of creative initiatives."

As part of the agreement, Spreadex branding and LED perimeter board advertising will be displayed across SAFC's digital and social media channels. Furthermore, Spreadex pledged to “assist the club on a variety of community and charity-based projects.”

"We are overjoyed to be partnering with Sunderland AFC at such an exciting time for the club after their promotion back to the Championship," Spreadex CEO David MacKenzie stated. As we expand as a business, Spreadex has also had great recent successes. We are excited to collaborate closely with SAFC, as well as their supporters and community partners, during the course of this long-term agreement.

"We will be starting an initiative right away: for every goal the Black Cats score at home during the upcoming season, we will donate £100 ($121) to the club's chosen charity. In the upcoming months, we hope to start further charitable endeavors.”

Spreadex and Fulham Football Club inked a two-year sponsorship agreement in July 2021, making Spreadex the team's primary sponsor for the ensuing two seasons.
